Motorcyclist Suffers Critical Injuries After Striking Several Vehicles In Maryland: Police

Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash that left a motorcyclist with critical injuries following a crash on Friday night in Frederick involving several vehicles, police say.

Officers were called to the area of Orchard Way and Apple Way shortly before 7 p.m. on Oct. 4, where there was a reported crash involving a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle that lost control and struck multiple vehicles.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the Frederick Police Department, and was rushed to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he was listed in serious condition on Saturday, Oct. 5.

No other injuries were reported.

According to investigators, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and "at the conclusion of the investigation, the report will be presented to the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office for any charges." 

No additional details were provided by the department.

The crash remains under investigation.
